2019 National Home Birth Conference and Hui

 

Home Birth Canterbury Association are proud to be hosting this years Home Birth Aotearoa Conference in November – “There is no place like home”

Come and join us to celebrate Home Birth in Aotearoa with expert speakers in the field of midwifery, surrounded by other like minded individuals. The perfect weekend of professional and personal development for midwives, health professionals and home birth advocates.

Keep an eye out on our social media pages as we begin to release our fantastic line up of speakers coming to share their knowledge and experiences in the field.

We have accommodation available for those wishing to attend the Home Birth Aotearoa hui the next day which is available for purchase also.

The conference will begin at 8.30am and finish at 5pm on Saturday.

Our early bird tickets are on sale until the end of September, so book yours in now!

Cost:
Conference Tickets $80 September early bird.
Accommodation Saturday night $20 at Wai Ora Trust
Hui ticket $20

Childcare:
On site child care is provided at hui. Babies and children are welcome.

Food:
Both days are fully catered. Breakfast will be available for those staying onsite on sunday morning.

Funding for regional representatives to attend National Hui
HBAT will fully fund fair and reasonable travel expenses of one representative from each region or up to a total of $500 per region that can be shared.

Once you have received confirmation from us, it is preferable that you book your transport and we will reimburse you upon receiving a copy of your booking.
Early bookings are appreciated, to reduce the cost of last minute flights.

Regional representatives are required to submit the following report about their region, preferably alongside their booking receipts when they apply for reimbursement.

The reports support HBAT to meet our reporting requirements to the Ministry of Health and can be used by representatives during hui at the time when regions have an opportunity to share.
